The Children and Young People’s Providers Forum (CYPPF) is funded through CEN network grants. It aims to bring together people working with children and young people in the voluntary sector with key local agencies to influence policy and services.

Next Forum meeting
Hackney’s Children & Young People’s Services are reviewing the Children & Young People’s Plan to develop a revised, three-year plan for 2008-11, due in late June & Introduction to the Common Assessment Framework.
If you work with children and young people in Hackney, join the CYPP Forum on:
Thursday, 8 May 2008 lunch from 1.15pm - to start 1.30pm – 3.00pm

This is an opportunity to find out about and discuss this review and these eight priorities:
1. We want more young people in Hackney to be in education and training, and to have a better range of opportunities between the ages of 14-19
2. We want to improve the educational attainment of vulnerable groups of children and young people (with a particular focus on children in care in the first instance)
3. We want to reduce offending and re-offending amongst young people in Hackney
4. We want to ensure that children and young people are safe both in the home and around Hackney
5. We want to make sure that children and young people in Hackney enjoy good mental health
6. We want to improve services for disabled children and young people 7. We want to encourage healthy lifestyles
8. We want more and better activities for young people in Hackney. This is an ideal event for grass roots and support organisations.
