On Wednesday, 29 July, the Community Empowerment Network (CEN) held a consultation event on Hackney’s new Youth Crime Strategy 2009 – 2012.
Over 30 people from the voluntary and community sector (VCS) came along to share their views with partners from Team Hackney’s Youth Crime Reduction Sub Group including David Stone, Metropolitan Police Service and Florence Kroll , Head of Youth Crime Reduction, LBH and Gary Francis, HCVS and CEN rep from the Youth Crime Reduction Sub-Group.
The Youth Crime Sub Group is looking to commission a number of projects which meet priorities outlined in this strategy. This will be available mid to late August. Unfortunately, this is a very timeframe for this consultation.
