Big Lottery Fund - Lottery Funded

Are you part of a voluntary and community sector group which provides services to children and young people in Hackney?

Photo of Kristine Wellington   At HCVS, we understand that it is hard to keep up with the funding and legal requirements which voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups working with children and young people need to meet. Our expert in the children and young people’s field Kristine Wellington, left, is leading a number of projects designed to help you develop your organisations and increase your funding success.

Click on the links below to find out how HCVS and the CEN can help you:

CEN: Join the CEN's Children & Young People's Providers Forum (CYPPF)

Funded by Hackney's Community Empowerment Network (CEN), the CYPPF brings together people from the VCS who work with children and young people to voice their social policy concerns and share good practice. Meetings are held bi-monthly, the next will be announced soon. Click here to find out more about the Forum

CEN reps for children and young people Apply to be one of 6 CEN representatives or reps on the new Children’s Trust Board and Wider Stakeholders Forum on Team Hackney – the key decision making partnership which shapes policy, service delivery and some commissioning in the borough.  Click here to find out more

CEN: Interested in Youth Crime?

Would you like to share your views on youth crime in Hackney? The CEN is leading a consultation on the new Youth Crime Strategy, out of which the The Youth Crime Sub Group is looking to commission a number of projects which meet priorities outlined in this strategy.   Click here for more

The CEN is looking for people with local knowledge to influence Hackney’s approach to tackling youth crime. If you have worked with the Police or Youth Offending Team and influenced how they work, we want to hear from you! As a CEN rep, you will sit on Team Hackney’s Youth Crime Reduction Sub Group, where decisions are made about policy and service delivery and some commissioning.  Click here for more

Hold it Down together with HCVS are conducting a survey to find out what young people in Hackney think about the Police. We can arrange at time to visit your organisation, provide surveys and people to work with young people to help fill them in, so there is NO cost to you or your organisation.  Everyone who takes part goes into a draw for a digital camera!  Click here for more
