For a majority of service providers attracting project funding is part of daily life and, given the number of organisations bidding for such funds, the ability to plan and manage projects is vital.
This course is for VCS groups who are already managing projects or thinking about initiating or developing one but do not know how to go about it. This course will lead you through the project management stages from bidding for funding to exit planning and dissemination, this course offers insights into the importance of short-term projects and how to get the most out of them.
The course will also give you the opportunity to network with organisations that have had experience in community project management. You will:
- identify changes in an organisation
- understand the ways in which changes and ideas develop into projects
- know how to effectively plan for a project
- know when and how to develop a project
- know how to manage a simple workplace project
- recognise key project roles and responsibilities
- know when and how to exit a project.
