     J2S Graduation Event

HCVS invited 30 VCOs to join Journey to Success (J2S), an intensive pilot training programme. Out of this, 15 joined the course and eight successfully completed the goals set for them.

J2S takes an unique approach to getting VCOs fit to meet the demands of the commissioning process.  We combined our training with direct one-to-one support to really use what they have learnt and make a difference to their organisation.  For the first time, HCVS' Development team worked together with the Communications and Marketing team to make change happen for our groups.

To achieve the goals set, people had to attend a minimum of five training courses, and work in their own time to complete a business plan, a funding application, PQASSO Level 1 and a marketing profile.  All of this in just six weeks.
