Empower Development

Who we are

We aim to support the Congress WBN (UK registered charity) nations development thrust by creating EMPOWERED communities  through strategic human development.

This particular programme focuses on developing the youth aged 9 to 17 is to think vastly beyond their current circumstances to a place where they are conscious of and imbibe the following values: Self worth Personal and community responsibility Integrity Industrious The vehicle used to do this is Money Management. Here the intended target audience learns and discovers skills on how to effective manage their money, develop life skills that will enable them to have a better appreciation of money and it’s use. It also exposes them to the principles and practice of business enterprise while learning to cooperate with one another. Within this programme the youth interact with topics like ‘money managing and entrepreneur skills’, have group discussions, and visit financial institutions. The programme is scheduled to start in August 2007.

We work with

Children and youth between the ages of 9 – 17. Our main target areas are schools, youth centers, parents and any other organization that work with this group. Empower Development is located in the London Borough of Hackney. Its neighboring boroughs are Tower Hamlets and Islington.

Services we offer

Our services will extend participation to all young people to have a voice and a platform to express the health and social issues that affects their personal development and their communities using multimedia mediums. Mediums include Awareness Newsletters and Awareness Show of Talent.
