Narrative Eye

Who we are

Narrative Eye is a dynamic organisation committed to creating and promoting the richness of Black British literature and history and expanding the art form within a multicultural framework, which promotes diversity and values difference. Narrative Eye was established in 2001 as a company limited by guarantee.

Our educational program involves hosting interactive workshops and presentations on literary, cultural and social issues or a combination of all three. Each workshop and presentation is tailor-made to the specific needs of beneficiaries. We have presented work to a wide and diverse range of audiences, from established practitioners to novice and semi-literate groups.

We work with

Narrative Eye has 25 years of experience in working with schools, universities, libraries and individuals in delivering successful workshops and projects. The majority of our educational work has been with participants from socially deprived communities in London with a high proportion of black residents.

Services we offer

Narrative Eye educational programmes involve hosting interactive workshops, lectures and presentations on history, literary, cultural and social issues. Each workshop and presentation is tailor-made to the specific needs of beneficiaries. Our educational programmes are divided into three strands: Ø Educating the wider public. We aim to raise the profile of Black people so that people understand the history and the contribution made by Black people to society. Ø Educate Black people about their history so that they are aware their community has made significant contributions to this society. Ø Producing and publishing creative literary works that promote a positive image of Black people.
