‘Introduction to domestic violence’
Aim:
To raise professional awareness of domestic violence and to gain a greater knowledge of specialist services and referral routes for families affected by domestic violence.
Outcomes
By the end of the seminar, participants will have:
· improved awareness of the key issues surrounding domestic violence
· improved understanding about what constitutes domestic violence
· developed skills in working with disclosure
· enhanced competence in working with domestic violence survivors
· shared practice and promoted interagency working relationships
· improved awareness of a range of local resources.

Registration and light refreshments will be available from 12pm. Seminar begins at 12:15
The material in this seminar is drawn from Level 1 DV Awareness Training delivered by the Domestic Violence Team. If you have already attended this there will be some duplication.
