Job title: Programme Director – Connect Hackney

Salary: £50,000 per annum (salary negotiable for exceptional candidates)

Full Time. Permanent contract (March 2017 – March 2021) Programme ends March 2021 and staff budget runs up till then.

If you are interested in leading a dynamic programme of work to meet the needs of socially isolated older people, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for a Programme Director to lead and manage all aspects of Connect Hackney – a £5.8M programme, aimed at reducing social isolation among older people. Connect Hackney is managed by Hackney CVS and is one of the fourteen programme areas in England, that has been funded through the six year Big Lottery Fund, Ageing Better programme. Ageing Better aims to disseminate evidence and learning throughout the life of the programme, and ensure it is relevant to both practitioners and policy makers at a local and national level. It is hoped that the evidence will demonstrate how and why work delivered by the fourteen programme areas can be of benefit, be sustainable, and have a strategic impact on the way future interventions are shaped at a local and national level.

We believe strongly in working for a fairer Hackney and ensuring that services and projects are co-produced with older people, those delivering services to them and other stakeholders

Connect Hackney is now two years into delivery and through our work with older people and our strategic partners, we are ready to develop the next phase of our programme. If you are a programme director, experienced programme or service manager, with experience of delivering strategic programmes; this could be the role for you.

The role is based at Hackney CVS, the local umbrella body for charities and community organisations. Our vision is of a Fairer Hackney and we positively celebrate diversity and welcome applications from people from all backgrounds.
