Create Your Future: Supporting BAMER women
Hackney CVS is pleased to announce the launch of pre employment programme Create Your Future for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) women who are out of work or not studying.
This exciting new project aims to support women in Hackney to overcome barriers to employment, learn new skills and be sustained in meaningful work. The programmes will include:
• interview workshops
• life coaching/mentoring
• health and well-being
• cv writing and job applications
• computer skills
• mini work placements
• play work qualifications.
Create Your Future Programme Co-ordinator, Maxine Collins said: 'We want to support BAMER women in Hackney overcome barriers to employment; learn or enhance new skills, build networks and engage with professionals.
I’m excited about the impact that Create Your Future will have. It’s the perfect time to launch the programme with International Women’s day just gone. The holistically designed programmes will offer local women from BAMER communities a chance to gain independence, build their confidence, develop skills, explore career options and achieve their aspirations'.
Attend the Create Your Future launch event on the 29th March 2017. Launch information here.
