• Free Training and Support - Facilitating Therapeutic Reading Groups for Older People

  07 December 2011 - Read Together is funded by Team London to deliver a short, intensive training course for volunteers who would like to start a therapeutic reading group at an organisation serving older people. Therapeutic reading groups differ from traditional 'book groups' in that all reading is aloud, and materials are chosen with relevant themes to promote discussion among group members.

  11 November 2011 - Following the August 2011 Hackney disturbances, Hackney CVS commissioned twenty three community projects to talk to local people about what had happened and what should be done in the future to prevent further disturbances.

We are looking for desk-based creatives (film, video, audio-visual, graphic designers, journalists, photography etc) and are keen to hear from individuals who wish to desk share or small organisations who'd like to take the whole space (rate negotiable).
