Digital Switchover Help Scheme

Do you have a television that only gets five or less channels?

Are you unsure what you have to do to switchover?

Are you over 75, partially or fully blind or have you been in a care home for six months or more?

If so then the Digital Switchover Help Scheme exists for you!

Help is available from the BBC via the Switchover Help Scheme:

  • We help eligible people convert one of their TV sets to digital
  • We can install what is needed in the home
  • We explain digital TV clearly and simply
  • We provide a range of support services if needed

You are eligible for the scheme if:

  • you are aged 75 or over; OR
  • you've lived in a care home for 6 months or more; OR
  • you get (or could get) Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Attendance Allowance, Constant Attendance Allowance or Mobility Supplement; OR
  • you are registered blind or partially sighted

The standard offer is £40 and includes delivery and installation, easy to use equipment, a simple demonstration, fitting a new dish or aerial where required and 12 months' aftercare service.This offer is FREE if you are eligible and on Pension Credit, Income Support, Income-based Employment and Support allowance, or Income-based Jobseekers’ Allowance.
