Legislative Changes to Voluntary Organisations and CVS in the Future
There are a range of policy and legislative changes that will impact directly on voluntary organisations and CVS in the coming years. These changes do not just relate to funding but also how the sector operates.
The profile of demand for CVS services is likely to change as well as the funding and strategic support local infrastructure organisations get from their local authority and NHS.
The ELN Briefing was prepared by trainer and consultant Ian Beever. Ian has been a freelance consultant and trainer for the last eight years, working for a diverse range of voluntary and statutory agencies as well as private sector companies across the UK. Previously Ian was the CEO of a Council for Voluntary Service in London for 4.5 years, as well as sitting on the London CVS Network Steering Group for 3 years. Prior to working for the CVS, Ian worked in mental health and training services for young people with learning disabilities and behavioural problems in Richmond and Hackney.
