Hackney's Compact facilitates effective relationships between public agencies, the voluntary and community sector and wider ‘Third Sector’ organisations in the borough. The Compact is approved by the board of Team Hackney, the borough’s Local Strategic Partnership, and includes a foreword by Jules Pipe, Mayor of Hackney and Chair of Team Hackney.
The Compact is a written agreement between the sectors that sets out the way they work together to benefit local people and deliver the objectives of Hackney’s Sustainable Community Strategy. It covers key issues such as funding, partnership working and volunteering. It can also be used to resolve disputes that may occur between organisations who have signed up to its principles.
Over 115 organisations have already signed up and are using the Compact to guide their day-to-day work. To download a copy of the Compact click here
